Lau just told me that Mercedes Sosa died. Thinking back to a road trip. can’t remember exactly where. Colorado. Maybe coming back from the Sand Dunes. Summertime. Lau pregnant with Layla then. We listened to a disc of Mercedes Sosa. One track–yo tengo tantos hermanos. She sang “yo tengo tantos hermanos que no los puedo contar.” I have more brothers than I can count. Some lines stay with you for a long time.
