fall stoke in Patagonia

Yesterday we took the bus up to Encanto Blanco and just kept walking the road up into the lenga forests. These forests exist at the highest elevations in Patagonia, right up to treeline, and during this time of year they turn the entire mountainsides into this intense red color. Here’s one starting to turn red:

On the way up we kept stopping at different places for Layla to play. Lau took this one shot of her in a small forest of radales. Riding up here, hiking in the mountains, we realized (again) how good of a traveler she is, and how all three of us are just more stoked when we’re up in the mountains.
